Medalist® Athletic

In preparing for a hunt in Florida for the swamp lizard, there are many items on my list to check off, to make the hunt safe and fun. The Florida alligator in my opinion is the wildest hunt you can go on, if done correctly.

First Item: Medalist Scent Inhibitor and BugProof Microskin.
The Medalist clothing will help with a number of things. Because you are hunting at night (Public water Hunt) The temperatures normally drop. Its common to have a 100 degree day and a 60 degree night. The  layering with the Microskin under the Scent-Inhibitor will give you the comfort needed against the weather, and The BugProof Microskin will help with the nats, and bugs. You can where the Cheyenne pants if you want to be all camoed up, but I normally wear a pair of blue jeans.

Second item: Innerloc Gator Grapples.
The Innerloc Gator grapples is a must. This point will hold any size gator you can hit, and will not pull out. www.innerloc.com

Third item: AMS Big Game Retriever Reel.
The AMS reel will give you a safe way to unload your line, and can easily attaché to the BIG Game float. This way you have a way to keep all 25 yards of line safely secure and a safe way to get the line to the gator without any problems.  www.amsbowfishing.com

Fourth item: Excalibur Crossbow, or a good bow is required.
I recommended the Excalibur, or an Innerloc Hydra Strike. Both are very deadly to the gators, and will get the job done.

Fifth Item: Lumenok.
Lumenok  makes a great lighted nock that attaches on an Innerloc arrow. This way you will be able to see the red light in the gator, and know exactly where you hit him. www.lumenok.net
The most important thing to a good gator experience is the outfitter. El-Lagarto alligator service has provided Innerlocs OutThere TV several great hunts. Mitch Kline is the greatest at putting you on big gators. With all these items in your car, drive to Florida and experience a hunt of a lifetime.
