The past month and a half I have spent hunting and filming in 3 states and attended both ATA show in Indiana and Shot show in Florida. With the hunting seasons winding down, it was time to fill some tags, and enjoy some warmer weather at the same time.
On December 28th me and 7 friends including 1 field producer traveled to Missouri, to hunt with Bobby Bowen of TreeTop Outfitters once again. This was the 2nd annual Innerloc’s Out-There hunting camp. The idea is to bring friends together to enjoy a week of hunting for all game. With deer, turkey small game, all in season, this trip is a one for the books.

The trip started out great, Steve Ferreri jr, shot a nice Bobcat, with the aid of the Medalist. The clothing kept him warm, and comfortable for long periods of time during his hunt.

I scored on 2 coyotes, that were both shot 100 % downwind. The silver technology kept any odor from building up, and kept the dogs noses confused before I could squeeze the trigger. Pete Suppa a Medalist Pro-staffer shot 2 Mature doe on the trip, and was head to toe in Medalist. 11 shooter bucks were seen, and none were taken. The deer were a little far for our hunters, but still gave them a thrill. A few days of rabbit hunting made for a good social hunt, and the Medalist kept us from sweating, during the long walks. All and all Missouri turned out to be a great trip.

After leaving Missouri I headed to the ATA show, to conduct some business related to Innerloc’s Out-There. This gave me time to share stories with sponsors, and see all the new products as well. For Medalist the new vest and gloves were a must have for me. The vest helps keep the wind off your back, and he new gloves fit tight to my hand, allowing me to shoot the bow, or pull the trigger without feeling all the fabric. The ATA show also gave me time to spend with Innerloc Broadheads our title sponsor, and see there new products as well. Pink is in for 2009, the Pink 100 grain Carbon tuner, will be on the end of all my arrows this fall. Helping promote Breast cancer is something I enjoy doing and seeing the Pink Arrow project strive is my goal. Innerloc also has 75 grain Tuner, and 125 grain Tuner with the BAT technology that I am very excited about. www.innerloc.com
After leaving ATA I picked up Kyle Morgan a field producer for Innerloc’s Out-There and we headed to the Shot show in Orlando Florida. The Shot show is very overwhelming and we conducted alot of business with potential sponsors, and had the chance to see again all the Medalist staff, and there line of clothing.
While in Florida, and after the Shot show we headed to my good friend, Mitch Klines house to do some Airboatingfor Hogs. The Hogs were no were to be found, but…The warm climate was great because it as 75 degrees and only 7 at home. Once again the Medalist kept us cool, under them warm conditions. I did however get to drive an air boat and would love to buy one, except my wife don’t like that idea.
After a few days of Florida weather we headed to Minter Alabama to hook up with George Till, of Till’s Custom calls, for some late rut deer hunting. The camp we stayed at was fit for a king, and the hunting was great. Our first hour we rattled in a nice Bama buck, The buck never knew we were there and we were eye level with him. The Medalist kept that bucks nose from finding us, and the RealtreeAP blended in like no other. Ground hunting is what I love to do sometimes, and with Medalist it makes it so much easier. We did manage to kill a nice Gray fox, at 46 yards, that never knew we were there, and we shot a nice 100 inch BAMA buck on the last day. The buck came to the H.S rattle bag, and stopped at 67 yards. Thats when my trigger finger squeezed off the 100 grain 6mm bullet. Thanks to George and his family for feeding us, and allowing us to film on such a great place. We will be back in a few weeks for turkey, because they were everywhere!!!!

All and ALL the roadtrip was a huge success. Innerloc’s Out-There TV is back for another season thanks to the sponsors, Networks and all the fans support. I thank Medalist for giving me the chance to write these blogs, and look forward to this spring chasing turkeys, and feeling comfortable at the same time…..Check out www.Innerloc.com/tv for more on our show, or feel free to leave a comment…
